Reynolds & Read is one of the Isle of Wight's largest plant hire and transport services’ companies. We have been offering a range of transport, plant and skip hire options across the island and tipper hire on the mainland for over 40 years. Our extensive knowledge and experience means we can offer an unsurpassed service to all island businesses as well as private individuals.
Our history
Reynolds & Read was established on the Isle of Wight in 1981 by friends Geoff Reynolds and Paul Read in a small yard in Gunville. The company started with just one lorry and one digger. In 1987 we moved to Burnt House Lane before relocating to Blackwater Garage in 2000 - our home for 16 years. We moved to our current premises, Brickfields, in January 2017.
Our present
From humble beginnings, Reynolds & Read has since grown to a fleet of 29 lorries and over 80 items of plant. We are now a family-run business, employing over 50 qualified and very experienced members of staff and have expanded to mainland coverage with 8 wheeled tippers available all around the South Coast. Having a clear out? Renovating? We have a large selection of skips at affordable prices, From 3 yard mini skips to 45 yard RoRo bins, we can meet your specific requirements. We ensure that as much of your waste as possible is recycled, dramatically reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
